Amethyst is a semi-precious gemstone admired by many women. The Ave and Pater beads of this rosary are made with 6 mm x 8 mm tear drop amethyst beads. Each is a two-toned bead, dark amethyst on one end and light on the other. They are exceptionally pleasing to the eye. The spacer beads are 3 mm Czech glass faceted rounds in pale amethyst. The accent beads around the Paters consist of 3 mm Swarovski crystal bicone beads with aurora borealis (which enhances the sparkle), 3 mm metal beads, and 4 mm white opal Swarovski crystal bicone beads.
The silver finish centerpiece depicts the Blessed Virgin Mary in profile on the front and Jesus crowned with thorns on the back. The 1 1/2 inch, silver finish crucifix is dainty with scrollwork at the ends, which make stylized fleur-de-lys.
The overall length of the rosary is 20 inches (51 cm).
